Call for Workshop and Poster Abstracts

Call for Workshop Abstracts

The deadline for submission of Workshop abstracts is May 12, 2010. Abstracts will be reviewed by a committee of HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau staff, using rating criteria based on the importance and clarity of abstracts and their potential to be used by other Ryan White programs to improve HIV-related services.  Notices of abstract acceptance for both workshops and posters will be sent by June 14, 2010 so that submitters have ample time to prepare for the August meeting.

Workshop abstracts for the 2010 Ryan White Grantee Meeting are now being accepted.  Workshops (and Posters) are the central means through which technical assistance and training happens at the conference.  As such, abstracts should be responsive to the meeting purpose, which is to provide evidence-based training and technical assistance to Ryan White programs.  We encourage presentations based on sound methods and evidence-based strategies and techniques that are clear, relevant and applicable to multiple treatment and care delivery settings.  Proposals that simply describe a particular program or client population will not be considered.  We encourage authors to be creative in the ways they present their material and engage their audience.

Call for Poster Abstracts

Poster abstracts for the 2010 Ryan White Grantee Meeting are now being accepted.

Posters are an opportunity to share best practices, lessons learned, unique strategies and tools, and research findings. Well over 150 poster presentations are anticipated for display at the meeting, with special time set aside for attendees to meet poster authors.

A poster presentation is a visual display of information, presented in a format that provides key insights in a clear and concise format.  To bring attention to your presentation, effective use of the elements of text, graphics, and tables is crucial given that posters are viewed by people informally, usually briefly, and mostly without the added benefit of a presenter. In order to maximize their visibility, posters will be interspersed throughout the exhibit area.

Poster abstracts are due May 12, 2010. All abstracts must be submitted electronically via this Web site. You can save your work and come back later prior to the submission deadline.

Those eligible to submit include Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program grantees from Parts A, B, C, D, SPNS, AETC, Dental and cooperative agreement partners. Since this conference is a technical assistance and training event, posters should focus on sharing ideas, best practices, and other how-to information that will benefit  your Ryan White colleagues.
